With a race motto of ‘Race Hard, Smile Lots’, NAV4 are an experienced team having raced a wide range of events from Open5’s right through to seven day Expedition races, and with consistently high finish performances.  

NAV4 raced The Wilderness ARC in 2006 and the World Championship ARWC in Scotland in 2007. The Team have many good performances in Open24’s, the Endurance Series and the Open Adventure C2C.  The team for adidas TERREX comprises of Gareth Hicks, Hannah Marshall, Louise Wilkinson and Joe Faulkner who between them have a balance of skills and wealth of experience; Gareth rides MTB like a demon and they are the strategists amongst the team.  Joe and ‘Wilko’ were first Mixed Pair in the 2010 LAMM Score Class, proving that good navigation and route choice, and that ‘to finish first … first you have to finish’ is a good maxim for any event.  We are looking forward to a quality race, which may prove to have a very interesting format!

NAV4 provides coaching and training in all aspects of adventure racing and mountain activities. The NAV4 navigation courses are highly regarded amongst fell runners and mountain marathoners, and focus on improvement of navigation and all round race skills. We have provided Rope Skills training and certification for Terrex competitors, Joe is a past competitor and race director of The Hebridean Challenge and will be directing The HeB2B Adventure next May.  NAV4 are not a sponsored team but carefully choose good quality items from such companies as Petzl, Ortlieb and Montane.
