FGS! SuperBerry is a team formed for the Terrex from the For Goodness Shakes Adventure Race squad. The team is made up of Si Enderby, Ali Morris, Tom Hodgkinson and Fi McBryde. 

Team Captain “Goji Si” has been adventure racing since 2004. Originally coming from a climbing background he started competing in the 2 day ACE races and soon achieved top 3 series places. Si is a familiar face at the Open Adventure races having competed in all but one Open 24 and many Open 5’s and 12’s. Si competed with Tom and 2 other squad members in Abu Dhabi in 2008 and regularly adds to his endurance experience with long distance road biking challenges, ultra marathons and kayak trips. Although competent at all disciplines, Si excels at navigation, strategy and thinking fast on his feet. (Although this is to be tested in the wee small hours of the morning but Fi has been training specifically for this) 

New to the UK racing scene "Kiwi Fi" brings a foreign flavour to the team, and will be doing her best to keep the boys in line. Her training focus of late has been memorizing cheesy song lyrics to serenade her lucky teammates within the sleepy wee hours of the morning. As well as having represented New Zealand at mountain bike orienteering in 2004 and 2005, Fi comes with several expedition races under her belt. These include the 2009 ARWC Portugal and a couple of epic outings at XPD Australia, braving leaches, crocodiles and killer wombats. She is hoping the wildlife in the Lakes will be equally exciting. 

“Gog Tom” the Welsh contingent: Originally working as an outward bound instructor guiding on multi day and week long kayak and foot expeditions, Tom transitioned into adventure racing via MTB endurance. As well as competing in local fell running and adventure races Tom was also part of the FGS! team that competed in Abu Dhabi, and proved to be a strong all rounder. Bringing skills from his mountain training, Tom is more than a competent navigator and more than at home in the fells. 

“Exotic Spice Ali” who has recently returned from from foreign travels, has been adventure racing since 2006, before which he could be found at many fell runs and mountain marathons, where he achieved top results such as winning the elite LAMM. Ali has experience in expedition racing, competing in the WARC 2007, and also undertaking adventures such as cycling from Singapore to Mongolia across 5000m passes and across the Gobi Desert on a tandem. This adds to his strong running, navigation, strategic and kayak skills. 

The team has several goals for the race, which include competing to the best of their ability and enjoying the experience.
